Google Drive Backup Not Working For You? Here is the Fix

As an Android user, one of the features I feel envious about is the seamless iOS backup system . No matter which iPhone you switch to, all your backups — from system settings to passwords are imported without a hitch. So to bring a similar backup system on Android, Google has been revising its backup mechanism to bring seamless transition through Google Drive . However, there have been many frailties — sometimes it picks up your data and settings, but does not import it and sometimes it straight-up stops backing up your data. Recently, many have reported that their Google Drive backup is not working and has been perennially showing “Waiting to Backup” error. So to solve this problem, in this article, we bring you a step by step guide with detailed instructions. That being said, let’s get started without any delay. Samsung Confirms January 2020 Timeline for Android 10 Update in India, UK

Just days after Samsung’s Israeli arm angered customers around the world by publishing an Android 10 update timeline that suggested the company will not begin rolling out the stable version of the software before January 2020, the South Korean tech giant has reportedly put an end to all speculations by publishing an official update timeline for the UK and India, confirming the roadmap published by Samsung Israel. According to the official timeline, dozens of Samsung phones, from flagships like the Galaxy Note 10 to entry-level devices like the Galaxy J6, will all receive Android 10, but it confirms the schedule published by Samsung Israel, which means the rollout will only commence in January 2020. As is to be expected, the S10- and the Note 10-series will be among the first to receive the software, while tablets like the Tab A 10.5 (2018) will get it next September. Vivo V17 with Punch-hole Display Expected to Launch in India on December 9

Vivo launched the V17 Pro with a dual pop-up selfie camera a couple of months ago. The device has been doing pretty well, especially among pop-up camera enthusiasts. But, the Chinese giant is now looking to launch a younger sibling to the Vivo V17 Pro in India next month. Vivo has today started sending out invites for the launch of a new V-series smartphone in India. The invite doesn’t disclose the name of the smartphone, but it’s expected to be the Vivo V17, which was unveiled in Russia earlier this month. An interesting thing about the invite is that it hints at a modern upgrade for the Indian variant. Vivo V17 in Russia was launched with a waterdrop notch but the invite suggests that the Indian variant will come with a punch-hole display. Reports suggest that the company is upgrading to a punch-hole design, similar to the Vivo S5 that was unveiled in China this month, to give V17 a more premium appeal. Apart from the punch-hole camera design, the rest of the hardware specific...

Just days after announcing the launch of the Mi Note 10 with the 108MP Samsung Bright HMX image sensor in India, Xiaomi has revealed that one of its other major upcoming smartphones, the Redmi K30, will sport the ‘world’s first high-resolution image sensor’ . The revelation comes from the General Manager of the Redmi brand, Lu Weibing, who reportedly said that further details will only be revealed at the launch event on December 10th . While there’s no official word on the subject from Xiaomi, recent rumors suggest that the Redmi K30 might come with Sony’s 60MP IMX686 image sensor , which was teased by the Japanese tech giant a few weeks earlier. Of course, this is not the first piece of info about the Redmi K30 that Xiaomi has teased in the re...

LG Unveils Its New User Interface “LG UX 9.0”

LG has recently unveiled a refreshed user interface for its phones called “LG UX 9.0” and it looks very similar to Samsung’s OneUI ; that’s not exactly a bad thing since OneUI is a pretty great UI to have on a smartphone. In a video uploaded by LG to YouTube showing off the major changes in the new user interface, the similarities between this UI and OneUI are striking. The company has made text stand-out better, with heavier font-faces. The Messages app now shows more of the conversation without opening the messages themselves, the Contacts app now has bigger spaces between contacts, and clear letter-markings. The new UI also moves major functionality to the lower part of the screen to make it easier to access single-handedly without having to make too much effort. This can be seen with the company moving menu items such as search, dial, call logs, and others to the bottom of the screen. The Gallery app is also redesigned with a more streamlined design, and albums also look bett...
