10 Best Hotjar Alternatives You Should Use

In a very short span of time, Hotjar (founded in 2014) has become a favorite of website owners for their web analytics needs. What gives it a clear edge over other web analytics platforms is versatility that not only offers more flexibility but also makes analyzing the online behavior of users hassle-free. Combining several pivotal things like heatmaps, conversion funnels, form analysis, opinion polls, and more, it’s a one-stop-platform for tracking the behavior of visitors and diagnosing issues. That all being said, the website analytics tool does have some shortcomings like the inability to provide in-depth analytics and less organized video-recordings. Not to mention, it also seems to add plenty of load time to websites – which is nothing but a nightmare to the say the least. If these downsides have forced you to look beyond, let’s jump right in to explore the best Hotjar alternatives of 2019! Note: Similar to Hotjar, all the alternatives mentioned on this list offer various pric

Nubia Red Magic 3S Gaming Smartphone to Launch September 5

ZTE sub-brand, Nubia, is all set to unveil its newest gaming-centric smartphone, the Red Magic 3S, next week. The company has sent out official invites for a launch event scheduled for September 5 in Shanghai, where the company is expected to launch the new device. It will be the successor to the Nubia Red Magic 3 that the company had launched earlier this year in India. So far, the only thing known about the upcoming smartphone is that it will be powered by the Snapdragon 855+, something the company had confirmed last month . Apart from that, the rest of the tech specs remain under the wraps for now, so we’ll have to wait and watch if it will be only an iterative improvement over its predecessor or bring revolutionary changes. However, it is expected to carry over many of the innovative new features of the Red Magic 3, like an internal turbo fan for optimal thermal management, a 5,000mAh battery with support for 27 Watt fast-charging and capacitive shoulder triggers in place of o

Play Store Will Now Start Auto-playing Promo Videos

The Google Play Store recently received the much-a Material Theme treatment, swapping out the signature green for an all-white UI and squircle icons. Well, an eye-blinding white theme has already become a nuisance for many users – waiting for dark mode to roll out sooner than later. But, the Play Store will further the annoyance with auto-playing promo videos. On its Play Console help page , Google reveals, “Beginning September 2019, Google Play will start autoplaying store listing videos to help more users discover your content at a glance.” It then talks about auto-playing promos saying that you would need to turn off monetization for these videos. This would ensure that users do not see ads right before your promo video. It could confuse users about which product or app is being marketed. It means if you have added a promo video, which is uploaded to YouTube, for an app on the Play Store then you will now see the video start playing the moment you open up its app page. This cou

Leaked Images of Possible Sony Xperia 2 Reveal Triple Rear Cameras

Leaked images of what’s said to be the upcoming Sony Xperia 2 smartphone has seemingly revealed the design language of the Japanese tech giant’s next flagship smartphone ahead of its expected unveiling at the IFA trade show in Berlin next week. The specs, however, were unfortunately not leaked alongside the images, so we’ll still have to wait somewhat longer to get all that info. Believed to have originated on the Xperia Blog , the images show that the device looks typically Sony, thanks to the clean-cut industrial design language followed by the Japanese tech giant. The device also looks a bit on the elongated side, which suggests that it will retain the oh-so-modern 21:9 aspect ratio of the Xperia 1. Another feature it seemingly retained from its predecessor is the triple-camera setup at the back, although its location has shifted from the center to the left. Click to view slideshow. As for the rest of the design cues, it also has what looks like Sony’s distinctive camera shutter

Apple’s Tile-Like tracking Device Spotted in iOS 13 Build

Apple refreshed its ‘Find My’ app with the announcement of macOS Catalina and iOS 13 back in June earlier this year. The company expanded focus on security, providing users the easiest way to track their lost MacBook or iPhones — even when they are turned off. Well, Apple is said to be working on a Tile-like tracking accessory that will expand on its ‘Find My’ rationale and offer users a way to track their personal belongings. Rumors of Apple working on a tracking accessory are making rounds of the Internet for quite some time now. The hints for something similar being in the works was spotted in April earlier this year, but proof has since been found in internal iOS 13 builds. The tracker is codenamed B389, as reported first by MacRumors who spotted strings of text in iOS 13 code hinting towards the nature of this accessory. B389 is expected to be used as a tag for other items as its purpose is defined as “tag your everyday items with B389 and never lose them again.” These tags

8 Best Pocket Alternatives You Should Try

My association with Pocket (formerly known as Read It Later) goes a long way back to 2007 when it was introduced as a Mozilla Firefox browser extension. As someone who has a huge penchant for web browsing and saving favorite articles for later reading, the extension soon became my noted asset. Thanks to the ability to offer a seamless read-it-later experience, it has become a full-fledged service with plenty of impressive features designed to enhance reading and make bookmark management a painless exercise. While I have always loved using this app, the high-price tag ($4.99/monthly) of the premium variant has begun to (kind of) vex my budget for quite some time. And I guess, I’m not alone to be exploring the best Pocket alternatives of 2019. If you are also on the same page, let’s look for the free or cheap alternatives to Pocket right now! Best Pocket Alternatives You Should Try in 2019 Unlike before, the market is flooded with several read-it-later apps. Of course, not all of them

Well, if you have been waiting for the kids to be able to watch videos on YouTube right from the browser (with appropriate scrutiny), then the YouTube Kids website has today gone live. It offers a familiar experience, which parents who use the mobile app would recognize right away. The YouTube Kids website looks very much like its tablet or TV app, but one of the key features is currently missing in action. You won’t be able to sign into the website at the moment, says the official support page . It is currently in development and should start rolling out at a later date. “With this initial offering, there won’t be an option to sign in, similar to watching YouTube Kids on TVs today. Parents will still be able to see watch history, flag content, and choose from the new age group content setting,” says the support page. The desktop website has officially launched today, alongside the news that Goog

Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey’s Account Was Hacked on Friday

A stream of racist and anti-Semitic tweets were posted from the account of Twitter CEO, Jack Dorsey, after it was reportedly hacked on Friday, allegedly by a group called ‘Chuckle Squad’ . Confirming the security breach, Twitter said that the company has initiated an investigation into the issue, and assured that the account is now secure and back under Dorsey’s control. All 17 tweets and 6 re-tweets made by the hackers have since been deleted. We're aware that @jack was compromised and investigating what happened. — Twitter Comms (@TwitterComms) August 30, 2019 In a follow-up tweet, Twitter also claimed that its own internal systems were not compromised by the hackers. According to the company, the account was hacked because the phone number associated with Dorsey’s account was compromised “due to a security oversight by the mobile provider. This allowed an unauthorized person to compose and send tweets via text message from the phone number” . The phone number associate

iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 11 Pro Max Specs Leaked

Apple is all set to release the new iPhones on September 10, and while the company never really announces any specifications on-stage, other than the chipset and the fact that it’s an OLED display (or an LCD), we now have leaked specifications of the upcoming flagships from the Cupertino giant. A leaked image shared on the TME community shows off the entire spec-sheet for the upcoming iPhones, and there are some surprises there. iPhone 11 Leaked Specs According to the image, the iPhone XR successor will be called the iPhone 11 (that has been speculated in the past as well), and will come with a 6.1-inch LCD display, same as the iPhone XR, with a resolution of 1792×828 — still not a 1080p display which is honestly just sad. It will also come, as expected, with the new A13 chipset, and a higher 4GB RAM. It’s also expected to have storage variants split into 64GB, 256GB, and 512GB. In terms of cameras, the iPhone 11 will come with a 12MP selfie-camera, and a dual 12MP set-up on the
